Dataminers found references to more than 50 maps in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare files

The list also contains locations from previous games in the series.

The VG Sources portal found in the beta files of Modern Warfare on a PC mention of 56 maps for multiplayer. Nine of them are for Fire Contact mode, and the rest are for standard online matches. It is still unknown whether they will all appear in the shooter after the release.

Some cards from the list have already appeared in the first and second parts of Modern Warfare – Sub Base, Terminal, Rust, Crash and Shipment. In this case, the night version of the latter is mentioned for the first time.

In addition, the dataminers found in the code references to tournaments “1 on 1”, “2 on 2”, “3 on 3” and “4 on 4”, as well as a list of “seasons” – apparently, the names of major updates.

Since the information on this is not confirmed, it is possible that the developers’ plans for supporting the multiplayer will still change after the release. But apparently, content patches with “seasons” will be released every few months.

Prior to this, mentions of other content, including the “royal battle” mode, were already found in the files.

The release of Modern Warfare is scheduled for October 25th. Apparently, officially in Russia the shooter will be released only on PC and Xbox One – Sony has already begun to cancel pre-orders of the game in the PS Store.
