Players assume that it may be a Divinity: Original Sin 3, but the troika may apply to another franchise.
In the fall of 2018, Brian Fargo announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 is in development, but did not specify who does it.
This happened against the background of rumors that triquel is developed by Larian.
Then the developers rejected this information, however, perhaps it was an attempt to preserve the surprise – because the logos of Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Baldur’s Gate II are made in about the same style and use Roman numerals.
Later, netizens noticed a line of code on the Larian page. The name of the image file in it is “BaldursGate_logo_III_retouched.png”. Apparently, the game still belongs to the franchise in the setting of the Forgotten Realms.
Probably the game will be presented soon. The developers told about its existence in the fall of 2018 – it is created under the code name Project Gustav.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 was released on PC in 2017, and in 2018, it acquired a port on the console. The first parts of Baldur’s Gate dealt with BioWare, which recently left the games of this format.
