The Moscow Department of Information Technology will order the development of augmented reality glasses for the police. One of the main functions of these glasses – face recognition, writes RBC. The appropriate technology is already being tested.
It is developed by the Russian company Ntechlab, which was largely known for its FindFace service. He allowed to upload a photo of a person and find matches on the social network VKontakte. The search for matches involved a specially trained neural networks. True, since September 1 last year, the service stopped providing such services. The developers decided to redirect their technology to the corporate sector.
It is alleged that the presentation of glasses for the police will be held in the autumn of 2019 at the Interpolitech exhibition.
