On the moon for the first time sprouts of terrestrial plants sprouted

Almost two weeks ago, a Chinese robotic complex Chang’e-4 landed on the back of the moon. In addition to various scientific measuring instruments, the complex contained cotton seeds, which have now sprouted. About this reports the Chinese state agency “Xinhua”.

The Chinese mini-biosphere experiment was the first of these, conducted on Earth’s satellite. In addition to cotton, there are potato, rapeseed and rezuhovidki seeds, as well as drosophila eggs and some yeast on board the Chiang-4. According to the plan of Chinese scientists, they should form a mini-biosphere in the “Chang’e-4” apparatus on the Moon.
